Launching into a product category as busy as honey is no picnic. We gave Bee Roots a unique name, positioning, identity and marketing suite to spread their wings and fly from day one.
Premium-grade raw honey rooted in the rugged Balkan landscape. This was the core positioning of an ambitious new market entrant, which we set about turning into a suitably distinctive and compelling brand.
The name Bee Roots is inspired by the deep connection between the beekeepers and the land they work with.
Wild flowers, which supply the honey with distinct flavour and character, are at the heart of the logo.
Bee Roots is closer to nature than heavily-processed commercial honey. It’s harvested ethically and interfered with less en route to the jar, meaning more nutrients and lower environmental impact. Hence our proposition: Raw by Nature.
“Raw by Nature” is brought to life across the marketing suite by a torn paper motif representing the Balkan hills.
Packaging seamlessly blends rawness and quality, with rich gold foils and embossed text on natural uncoated stock.
We communicated the Bee Roots ethos, shared the company values and raised awareness of ethical beekeeping through a giveaway brand publication (printed on recycled newsprint using eco-friendly inks, naturally).
The website brings together brand storytelling, blog and e-commerce, underpinning the enjoyable user experience with valuable online sales.
The robust and intuitive content management system makes it easy for the Bee Roots team to update content and manage orders.
